About TruckerPro Editorial

Built by Canadian drivers · Written from operating experience

Every guide on this site is written by people who run trucks for a living. The TMS, the border-clearing platform, and the operational playbook all come from the cab — not the marketing desk.

Active Class 1 / AZ Drivers

The team holds current Canadian commercial driver's licences and runs long-haul cross-border lanes regularly. Every product decision is tested in a real cab.

Director of Safety & Compliance

An operating role at a Canadian carrier. The team owns CVOR/safety profile, ELD compliance, driver qualification files, and CTPAT/FAST programs day-to-day.

FAST Card Holders

Cleared for the Free and Secure Trade lane. ACE/ACI eManifests are filed routinely; the cross-border guides come from direct experience.

Builders & Operators

TruckerPro's TMS, ELD integrations, and border-clearing platform are built by the same team that operates the trucks. Code shipped daily.

Why TruckerPro exists

TruckerPro started because most Canadian carrier software is American with HST bolted on. The dispatch board doesn't know what province of supply means. The ELD list comes from FMCSA, not Transport Canada. Quebec customers reject paperwork that doesn't render in French. IFTA reporting needs manual reconciliation.

The first version of TruckerPro was built on weekends to address those workflows. Today the product supports Canadian tax handling, eligible ELD integrations, French-language invoicing, and access to cross-border workflows where the applicable plan, provider, and activation requirements are met.

The team includes people with Canadian trucking and safety-compliance experience. That operational background informs the CVOR, ELD, IFTA, and driver-qualification material on this site. BorderPro is a separate border-clearing product.

CVOR & safety profiles
Driver qualification files

How we source and verify

Every guide goes through the same loop: drafted from operating experience, every regulatory citation cross-checked against the primary source (Transport Canada, FMCSA, CBSA, CBP, provincial registrars), and updated when the underlying rule changes. If a deadline is cited, the regulation is named. If a number is cited, the year and the source are named. Errors get corrected on the same URL — not in a separate post — so the canonical record stays accurate.

This is not legal or accounting advice. Where the topic crosses into legal advice (incorporation structures, employment classification, complex tax planning, litigation), this site points you to a professional. Everything else — the operational mechanics of running a Canadian trucking company — is what this team does every day.
